Organizational Context and Scope:
Established in 1951, IOM is a Related Organization of the United Nations. Dedicated to
promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all, IOM provides services and advice to governments and migrants. As the leading UN organization in the field of migration, IOM works closely with its governmental, inter-governmental and non-governmental partners
on capacity building and advocacy for policy and legislative practices to ensure the protection of migrants.
Under the overall guidance of the Head of M&D Unit and the direct supervision of the National Project Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective and efficient financial, administrative, and programmatic support to the youth at-risk of re-emigration project. The project, financed by the Ministry of foreign affairs of Italy, aims to support and
accompany youth at risk of irregular migration, in particular those who have already tried to cross the border in an irregular way.
A full mechanism will be implemented which aims to strengthen national capacities to provide
empowerment services to youth through technical support and tools, facilitating cross-sectoral coordination, establishing national networks and referral mechanisms, and provide trainings and conferences to exchange lessons learnt and good practices
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
1. Contribute to the smooth daily running of all administrative functions in a timely fashion, and in accordance with the Mission’s regulations and procedures.
2. Maintain an efficient filing system for vouchers/financial documentation/receipts and ensure their timely filing in chronological order.

3. Maintain an efficient filing system of all logistics and procurement supporting documents.
4. Verify invoices, supporting documentation and ascertain that the equipment, supplies or services they refer to were duly received or provided before proceeding with payment request.
5. Arrange the follow up of the Travel authorizations, travel claims, DSA calculations and follow up about their payment.
6. Support the implementation of the Youth at-risk of irregular re-emigration project, including but not limiting to preparing, and implementing program activities;
7. Assist the organization and participation in meetings with key local stakeholders (local Government
institutions, CSOs, etc.) and the private sector, inter alia taking minutes of the meetings, brief notes/notes for the file;
8. Prepare training work plans including logistics and budget. Support the Project Manager in
managing the training costs and project budget lines and tailor the training programs as necessary;
9. Ensure discretion and confidentiality regarding the personal data of beneficiaries, in line with IOM
Data Protection Principles;
10. Assist in drafting official correspondence (letters, Notes Verbales, faxes) and dispatch official correspondence to Government, partners, other IOM offices on time and effectively;
11. Assist in fulfilling internal procurement, and other administrative formalities in order to provide support to programmatic activities;
12. Maintain the necessary administrative and financial documents and relevant documents for reporting;
13. Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the Project Manager.

Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience
• High School Degree/Certificate degree, preferably in business administration, human resources, psychology, or other similar domain from an accredited academic institution and four years of relevant professional experience;
• or bachelor’s or equivalent or Higher degree in the above fields with two year of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in Labour Migration, Migration and Development;
• Experience working with government counterparts, private sector, international organizations and/or non-governmental organizations (NGO) is an asset;
• Experience with Microsoft Office products; especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Skills
• Sound knowledge of financial and administrative skills;
• Experience in Labour Migration, Migration and Development;
• Knowledge/Experience in employment and youth empowerment
• Strong organizational and planning skills;
• Excellent time management skills;
• Attention to details and problem-solving skills;
• Capacity to work effectively and harmoniously within a team of colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.
Languages:
fluency in Fluency in French, Arabic,and English is required (oral and written).
Other:
• Appointment will be subject to certification that the candidate is medically fit for appointment, accreditation, any residency or visa requirements, and security clearances. Vaccination against COVID-19 is required. This will be verified as part of the medical clearance process.
