Call for Application

Local Coordinators for Youth-Led Youth Economic Empowerment Activity

Ddl: January 20, 2024 (23:00 p.m)

Background

Rehab Collective is pleased to announce the opening of the call for Project Local Coordinators from: Kef, Seliana, and Jendouba to join a dynamic, enthusiastic, and supportive team.

This falls under Rehab’s partnership with USAID, to implement the one-year Youth Economic Empowerment project (YEE).

  • Rehab Collective

Our vision:

Rehab Collective specializes in the rehabilitation and reintegration of vulnerable groups, including ex-prisoners. Open to inclusive, adapted and complete care for all social categories, the network advocates a vision according to which society must leave no one behind! With this in mind, the network has adopted the following vision statement: “No one left Behind”. For the network and all its members, this is a noble principle that guides all the development projects carried out by the network, including its scientific committee and operational teams.

Our mission:

Supporting people, Empowering Societies“: From the above-mentioned vision, the Rehab network has developed its SPES approach, which is based on a dialectical relationship between support for individuals (at local level) and what this support could bring in terms of strengthening societies. As part of this approach, Rehab Collective focuses on the following:

  • Improving people’s daily lives and involving them in dynamic processes that help them emerge from extremely vulnerable social, health and educational conditions, including those that have emerged.
  • Create rural dynamics through tangible initiatives that support capacities, engage populations in productive activities and exchanges, and strengthen their ability to mitigate critical social tensions that fuel social exclusion, violence and violent extremism,
  • Foster collaboration between government stakeholders and civil society actors around key issues concerning highly vulnerable people in rural grassroots areas.
  • Engage strategic discussions and debate around key issues related to vulnerability and marginalization to violence
  1. The YEE Project

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is funding the Ma3an project, a seven-year (September 2018 – August 2025) project that aims to increase Tunisian youth civic engagement and economic empowerment to advance progress towards sustainable and inclusive development in Tunisia. Ma3an is implemented by FHI 360, a non-profit human development organization dedicated to improving lives in lasting ways by advancing integrated, locally driven solutions.

Ma3an’s objectives are as follows:

  1. Objective 1: Youth have improved access to skills, services, and opportunities for civic engagement and economic empowerment
  2. Objective 2:  Tunisian youth lead and meaningfully participate in activities to address youth and community priorities

Through the YEE activities, Ma3an aims to ensure that young people have access to opportunities to apply them to achieve tangible civic and economic gains. Therefore, Ma3an will work with Rehab Collective, in the regions of Kef, Jendouba, and Seliana to facilitate a youth-driven collaborative action planning exercise in each governorate that enables youth to work together with key Youth Economic Empowerment (YEE) stakeholders to identify and implement solutions for YEE priorities.
