Job Summary 


Every employee of IRI is responsible for carrying out the Mission of IRI and demonstrating the core values in their day to day operations. 


The Finance and Administrative Assistant provides a full range of financial and administrative support to IRI’s programs. The position provides support to the Finance and Administration Manager and reports directly to the Resident Program Director.


Please note: The health and safety of staff is an IRI priority. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the IRI Tunisia office is currently closed and all IRI-Tunisia staff are working remotely (work from home). This position will be remote until the IRI Tunisia office reopens. 


Position Requirements


Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or a related field preferred.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Prior experience in accounting and finance preferred.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with various computer programs such as MS Office.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team to coordinate and lead the efforts of other professionals to effectively meet program needs.
  • Fluent spoken and written Arabic, French, and English skills.
  • Strong communication skills.


Primary Functions & Responsibilities

  • Reconcile all program and travel expenses and keep records of IRI expenditures.
  • Reconcile program and travel expenses on time, translate all vouchers from Tunisian Arabic and/or French to English.
  • Support IRI Tunisia’s daily operations, including maintenance and office functions.
  • Maintain office inventory for IT equipment, Non IT equipment and office Assets tracking quarterly and filing.
  • Maintain all IRI Tunisia files, including accounting financial documents and contract -related files.
  • Supporting the resident program Director (RPD) in overseeing staff timesheets, leave requests and other tracking.
  • Purchase office supplies and make payment for monthly office utilities bills.
  • Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to supporting general administrative activities.
