Role purpose:

The Fund manager is responsible for the implementation and overall coherence of the Grants Fund assigned to him/her (Tfanen has 3 major grant funds: Local cultural engagement fund, Fund to structure and sustain cultural organizations, Fund to support local development strategies)

Under the supervision and with the support of the Head of operations, the Fund manager will be involved in all steps of the grants-making process of that fund, from the initial stages (notably call for proposal design and launch, proposals evaluation, selection and negotiation phase) to the final steps (grants administrative close out).

The Fund manager works in autonomy for the daily management of grants, to attend events, conduct site visits and monitor projects. He/she is the focal point for the fund untrusted to him/her and regularly reports (orally and in writing) on achievement and progress of the individual grants projects, and of the projects grouped together within the fund.

He/she provides a high level of monitoring and support to the projects within his/her portfolio, through internal coordination with colleagues within the Tfanen project (for example for timely approval of reports and issuing of payment tranches), or by connecting them to visibility, mentoring, capacity building or funding opportunities within or outside Tfanen.

He/she supervises the work of the grants officer and grants team assistant who will issue grants contracts and POs to ensure a smooth grants disbursement process.
