YSB was launched is Tunisia in 2013 and started its operations in 2014 with the launch of the first Business accelerator in Tunisia and is now scaling up its activities in the view of running a second edition of Accelerator program in 2015.

Main responsibilities of the Social Business Consultant:

YSB Tunisia is looking for a dynamic and self-motivated team member with strong financial, management and organisational skills to join its small, entrepreneurial team. The Social Business Consultant will be based in Tunis. Reporting to and in coordination with the Head of Investments and Acceleration, he/she will also liaise with the teams in YSB’s Headquarters in Germany and its 7 other country offices around the world

His/her responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:

  •  Manage the pipeline Social Business supported by the program
  • Identify and develop relationships with potential partners for Social Business opportunities (meetings, interviews, field visits etc..): these organizations and / or individuals may be companies or local and international investors, social entrepreneurs, institutions , NGOs or others;
  • Support and coach organizations and individuals who establish a Social Business in Tunisia (e.g., advise and assist in the drafting of a coherent business and financial models, training, coaching etc.).
  • Manage the Social Businesses Investment Process o In the continuation of the work on the pipeline, participation in the analysis and due diligence of Social Business (especially qualitative and quantitative analysis of business plans, including financial modelling in Excel);
  •  Preparation of investment memos for the Review and Investment Committees; o Involvement in the monitoring, evaluation and support of social business already in the investment portfolio.
  •  Assist in the preparation and conduct workshops and other events, in particular in the accelerator program.
  • Any other activities dealing with the day-to-day or long-term business continuity and serving the purpose of advancing Yunus Social Business Tunisia.

شروط الترشّح

  • A Master’s degree and at least 4 years of progressively responsible experience in: Strategy consulting – experience with SMEs is valued / Investment Banking, Private Equity, Venture Capital /Project Management in the private sector
  • Outstanding analytical skills, critical thinking, evidence-based analysis, efficiency and thoroughness, demonstrated by excellent academic qualifications
  • Warm, ‘can-do’ and hands-on attitude with a strong team spirit in supporting the entire team, including the following:Ability to work independently in a fast-pace loosely structured environment /Ability to adapt quickly as things change / Comfortable working with an entrepreneurial and international team / Diplomacy, negotiating skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • An excellent understanding of “social business” and how this is related to other concepts, e.g. social innovation, social entrepreneurship, inclusive business, impact investing
  • Familiarity and comfort with Microsoft Office and Google Apps
  • Fluency in written and oral French and English. Fluency in Arabic is a plus
