Active NGO participation is fundamental to guarantee a smooth transition and a real process of democratization in North African Country. Only active local NGO participation will guarantee the long-term conservation of biodiversity. The proposed project will focus on the environmental NGO community in North Africa Country. Over the three years, with support from the, MAVA, WWF Mediterranean programme Office (WWF Medpo) and its partners Med Wet Initiative, Tour du Valat and Wetlands International, will work on project: Maghreb Wetlands Sentinels: the MedWet Civil Society Network, in the implementation of Capacity Building and Workshops Program in the countries of North Africa: Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco, project funded by MAVA Foundation The project is specifically to reinforce the partnership between authorities or organizations responsible for the Ramsar Convention and Civil Society Organisations and the creation of regional network to promote conservation of wetlands and Ramsar sites.
The general task of the consultant is to assist the project coordinator in the Implementation of activities mentioned below in order to achieve the conservation objectives.
Implement 4 trainings and in Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco:
Prepare and implement 3 workshops in Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco
Assisting the project coordinator for monitoring of the implementation of “the Evaluation & Monitoring Wetlands Protocol “ by the NGOs of the network Networking, Reporting, Travel:
Office Management and other tasks:
