The United States Institute of Peace is an independent quasi-federal institution established and funded by the U.S. Congress to:
– Prevent and resolve violent international conflict;
– Promote post-conflict stability and development;
– Increase peacebuilding capacity, tools, and intellectual capital.
The Institute accomplishes its mission through direct engagement in peacebuilding efforts around the world, and by empowering others with knowledge, skills, and resources.
We seek a person to serve as the Regional Finance Manager (FM) for USIP’s Middle East and North Africa Program. The FM should be based in Tunisia, and able to travel throughout Tunisia and MENA as needed. The position requires oversight of finances, procurement, administration, and logistics. As the FM, the contractor is responsible for oversight of finances, coordination of logistics for program implementation, and contract management, including ensuring USIP compliance with procurement and financial policies and procedures.
This financial management position is supervised by the Director for MENA and Senior Program Manager for MENA.
In particular, the FM will:

This position is subject to the availability of funds. The initial term of the position will be determined subject to the availability of secured funding, and is eligible for renewals based on continued funding.
All USIP contract and employee positions are contingent upon the favorable completion of a suitability background investigation.
Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
