The UN agency for Migration – IOM Tunisia is looking for a National Project Officer (Migration and Development) according to the terms of reference stipulated below. Established in 1951, IOM is a Related Organization of the United Nations, and as the leading UN organization in the field of migration works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Project Manager and the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission, the successful candidate will contribute to strengthen the Migration and Development (M&D) portfolio of IOM Tunisia. He/she will do so in line with a whole-ofgovernment and a whole-of-community approach as well as engaging, empowering and enabling migrants as development actors. He /she will ensure that the work that has been carried forward inter alia by the Mainstreaming Migration Programme will continue to bear
fruit.
The National project Officer will manage the project that aims at supporting the National Observatory for Migration in Tunisia. He/she will also support the implementation of the Migration Literacy Enhancement Advance Non-Discrimination (M-LEARN) project and other M&D projects.
