Job Opportunity Description

The State University of New York / Center for International Development (SUNY/CID) is accepting applications for a temporary Project Officer position on its donor-funded project in Tunisia. Applicants must have prior international development experience. Project Officer will be based in Tunis and will be assisting with implementation of development project working with Tunisian academic institutions, government, international organizations and civil society organizations.

This is a part-time position available for a three-month period, starting March 1, 2019.   

Responsibilities will include:

• Help plan, organize and coordinate training seminars, workshops, consultancies, and any other technical activities as directed by SUNY. Participate in conferences, meetings, and workshops as needed.
• Coordinate international and local consultants, and/or teams working in Tunisia.  Support and monitor performance of technical assistance provided by consultants.
• Manage everyday workflow with adequate follow up, utilizing problem solving skills and following protocols and procedures as set by SUNY. Accordingly, the incumbent will have excellent organizational and people skills.
