TOR: Call for applications for the recruitment of a trainer to develop

teaching skills for trainers at vocational training centers.

  • Background:

WeYouth Organization is a non-governmental, non-profit, and non-political organization established since 2013. Our mission is to foster the autonomy, participation, and leadership of young people in Tunisia. WeYouth operates in various strategic areas, including civic engagement, peacebuilding, gender equality and social inclusion, youth economic empowerment, and education. Our commitment is to support the positive development of young individuals, equipping them with the tools they need to play an active role in creating more inclusive and dynamic communities.

“Tadhamon” is a project funded by the Islamic Development Bank that aims to foster an entrepreneurial ecosystem within vocational training centers to enhance economic opportunities for youth. 

The project is implemented by WeYouth Organization in youth training centers in Sfax. It targets young students, educational and pedagogical staff, as well as institutions.

As part of this initiative, WeYouth Organization is seeking a skills trainer to deliver a Training of Trainers (ToT) program for instructors at vocational training centers.

  • Objectives

The Training of Trainers (ToT) program aims to equip vocational training instructors with andragogical skills to complement their existing pedagogical competencies.

General Objective:

Strengthen instructors’ andragogical capabilities to enhance their overall teaching approach.

Specific Objectives:

  • Improve instructors’ skills in delivering lessons effectively.

  • Enhance communication with students.

  • Identify and support youth with entrepreneurial ideas.

  • Develop, by the end of the training, a practical and structured methodology for teaching entrepreneurship in vocational training centers.
  1. Scope of Work:

Training Content Development:

– In coordination with the project team, develop the training methodology based on the informal adult education approach.
– Design and develop training content in line with the program’s objectives and the themes outlined in the overview.
– Ensure the content is tailored to the target audience and meets the specific needs of the participants.
– Identify best practices and relevant educational resources to enrich the training materials.
– Create engaging and interactive training tools, such as presentations, practical exercises, and more.

  1. Training Delivery:

– Facilitate engaging sessions on facilitation techniques and other relevant topics outlined in the program.
– Use interactive training methods to encourage active participation from attendees.
– Promote hands-on practice sessions and provide constructive feedback to participants.
– Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

– Assess participants’ progress and understanding during the training sessions.
– Monitor participants’ performance and provide feedback for improvement.
– Collaborate with the WeYouth team to evaluate the overall impact of the training program.

  1. Required Profile:

– In-depth knowledge and expertise in facilitation techniques, soft skills, and the topics covered in the program.
– Proven experience in delivering training programs and workshops, particularly for youth.
– Strong communication and presentation skills.
– Ability to create an interactive and engaging learning environment.
– Familiarity with evaluation methods and tools to measure the impact of training programs.
– Experience in mentoring and supporting young people.

  1. Contract Details:

Deliverables of the Mission:

Before the start of the training:

 Trainers are expected to provide the following:

  • Methodological Note: Trainers must prepare a detailed methodology for the Training of Trainers program, including specific objectives, planned activities, teaching methods, and required resources.

  • Training Materials: Trainers must develop the full training content, including presentations, practical exercises, and case studies.

During and After the Training:

Once the training is completed, trainers are required to provide the following deliverables:

  • Training Report: Trainers must submit a detailed report on the training process. This report should include an evaluation of the training’s effectiveness, the development of participants’ knowledge and skills, strengths and areas for improvement, as well as recommendations for future iterations of the program.

  • Participant Feedback: Trainers must compile and analyze participant feedback collected during the training. This includes individual evaluations or any other method used to gather participants’ impressions of the training.

  • Updated Materials: Trainers must provide the final versions of all training materials, incorporating participant feedback and observations made during the sessions. This includes the final training support documents.

  • Final mission report including evaluation and recommendations
