Job Title: Technical Programme Coordinator

Location: Tunisia based

Reporting to: Technical Director & Project Director

Purpose and Objectives of the Role

Responsible for supporting the delivery of day-to-day project work. The successful candidates must ensure projects are delivered in accordance with client requirements, procedures and Axiom’s Quality System.  This role will report to both the Technical and Project Directors, as well as providing assistance to the team of technical experts. The successful candidate will be required to manage a wide ranging set of tasks, helping to ensure that the team operates effectively and deliverables meet clients’ expectations, as well as supporting the delivery team.

The project is focused on strategic planning, interoperability/crisis management and training systems development. As such, the ideal candidate will require knowledge of these themes. In addition to this, the successful candidate will have international experience in capacity building projects and be aware of security sector reform best practice.

Main duties and responsibilities

Support the project’s team in draft and producing written products to a high standard. This will including the preparation of the following baseline management products, in accordance with quality assurance guidelines, and agree them with Technical Director;

  • Overall and phase work plans;
  • Support team management (contracts, leave, allowances, finances, etc.)
  • Risk management strategy in line with Axiom’s system;
  • Quality management strategy in line with Axiom’s system;

Support and lead in the preparation of the following reports:

  • Support management of project work plan, including milestones, managing changes, issues and risks and updating project documents as needed;
  • Support the preparation and delivery of routine progress reports;
  • Support in the preparation and drafting of project end report.

Maintain the following outputs:

  • Support the communication with external stakeholders;
  • Support the communication with donors;
  • Support the information flows between the project team;
  • Support the project management team with any deviations from the work plan;

Critères d'éligibilité

  • Minimum of two years post-qualification experience in successfully coordinating international capacity development projects;
  • Technical knowledge of strategic planning methodologies;
  • Experience and knowledge of training systems and methodologies;
  • Awareness of the Tunisian government structure;
  • Experience supporting and drafting detailed analytical reports;
  • Excellent English (full working proficiency);
  • Additional full language proficiency in Arabic and French is a significant advantage.
