Short video production: Building Capacity of the local associations in Tunisia

 

Background & Context:

The Capacity Builing Project (CBP) is an initiative of ACT in partnership with Norwegian Development Partners (NODEPA) funded by DIGNI/NORAD. ACT (Association Cooperation in Tunisia) is an international development organization, based out of Sweden, which has had operations in North Africa for over 35 years. ACT believes in a transformational approach. Together with our local partners we aim for community development, to build the capacity of civil society, to promote employability and to advocate for social justice.

CBP Project :

After the Yasmine Revolution in 2011, Tunisia has seen a tremendous increase of new local associations registered. ACT aims to help through the Capacity Building Program five Tunisian Local Associations (LAs) to become strong and effective associations. The project aims to: 

 Increase organizational capacity (administrative, financial, governance, etc.). 

 Increase project capacity (project cycle management, MEAL, etc.)  

 Increasee network capacity (sharing and learning in collaboration with others.)  

The project started in 2019 and is moving into it last 6 months ending in June 2022.As part of the closure ACT is seeking to produce short videos to capture the approach and impact of the CBP. 

Objective:

The aim of video production is to explain the nature and approach of the CBP programme and its major outputs and impacts for the wider civil society. In addition of working on the visibility for LAs and ACT. The end video will be presented in the closing event.

Scope of Work :

Scope of work is to produce 5 short videos with one for each of the 5 associations (3-5 minutes) and one for ACT combining all of these short videos (10-15 minutes), that highlight the work of the associations on the field and summarize the CBP aspects of building capacity of the local associations in Tunisia, the work includes:

  • Take charge of the script development, filming, and the editing.
  • Field visits for interviewing (LAs and beneficiairies) and shooting (Bizerte, Hammamet, Tebrousek, Ariana, L’aouina) The field visits will be coordinated/organized by ACT staff.
  • Narration and translation (ACT staff would be able to help)
  • Provide technical equipment 
  • Independently do the editing (cutting, sound editing, adding subtitles…) 

 

Deliverables:

  • 5 short high-quality videos (3-5 minutes) for each association
  • 1 video for ACT combining these videos (10-15 minutes)

 

Duration and Timeline:

 

Phase 1: Field visits 6 days of interviewing and shooting 
Phase 2: Editing The month of March
Phase3: Drafts
  • First draft, 1st of April
  • Second draft, Mid April
  • Last draft, End of April

 

Payments:

Phase 1: 10% of agreed fees after phase 1.

Phase 2: 90% of agreed fees after the final draft.

 

Required Qualification and Experience:

We welcome company/producers with the following qualifications to apply:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in undertaking similar assignments in shooting, editing, producing.
  • Experience in producing high quality broadcast video on tight deadlines
  • Experience in working with NGO’s
  • Possessing an official company registration in Tunisia
  • A good understanding of Tunisia’s Civil Society and familiar with local associations
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Fluency in Arabic and English.

 

 

 

Critères d'éligibilité
