Title : Senior Public Relation Officer 

Job Description 

The Innovation and Planning Agency (IPA) is looking for a Senior Public Relation Professional for its “Harraga Project” which is funded by the European Commission and the Austrian Ministry of Interior.  The project establishes direct contact and involvement of Tunisian and third country migrants to better  care for those in particular need of protection and to ensure access to help. The target groups are  assisted with psychosocial support counseling and safe spaces, facilitating reintegration in their  country of origin, information and legal services in Tunis, Sousse, Sfax and Zarzis. It is further hoped  that alternative solutions and perspectives can be developed to counteract irregular migration. 

Under work package 9 an Information campaign is planned. The objective is: 

∙ to inform about the project’s services for the different target groups 

∙ to raise awareness regarding irregular as well as legal pathways to migration ∙ to engage stakeholders in migration related exchange and discussions  

The Senior Public Relation Manager is expected to line manage a small team of media /  communication professionals and to implement the “Harraga Project” Media Strategy’s action plan in  line with the funding modalities and IPA’s code of conduct. 

Core tasks are to organize and oversee the “Harraga Project” PR activities and ensure effective  communication with stakeholders, media, the public, clients and beneficiaries. 

Role & Responsabilities 

▪ Developing, adaption and implementation of PR strategies and campaigns ▪ Preparing press releases, keynote speeches and promotional material 

▪ Building positive relationships with stakeholders, media and the publicWork with the  communication team to create content and produce final design 

▪ Collaborate with internal teams (i.e. “social-counceling-teams, information management, etc.) and  maintain open communication with senior management 

▪ Work on the layout and preparation of a wide variety of print and electronic communication  materials (e.g. brochures, infographics, banners, posters, leaflets, flyers, reports etc.) ▪ Ensure the application of IPA’s and the donor’s brand guidelines Ensure final graphics and layouts  are visually appealing and on-brand  

▪ Assist with scheduling of the production process (e.g. copy and proofreading, graphics, translation  services, typesetting, printing, etc.); 

▪ Track and monitors production flow to ensure that deadlines are met; 

As a PR Officer, you should be an organized and cool-tempered professional who is able to handle a  fast paced work environment.
