Established in 1951, IOM is a Related Organization of the United Nations and the leading intergovernmental organization in the field of migration. Dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all, IOM provides services and advice to governments and migrants and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. Its work includes strengthening institutional capacities and supporting policies and legislative frameworks that protect migrants’ rights.
The Regular Pathways portfolio of IOM Tunisia aims to facilitate skills mobility and strengthen the protection of migrant workers in North Africa by supporting the development and implementation of comprehensive policy and governance frameworks aligned with human rights and international labour standards. Its interventions are informed by reliable data and evidence to promote fair, effective and sustainable labour migration governance.
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM) in Tunisia and the Head of the Migration and Development Unit, and the direct supervision of the Regular Pathways Project Officer, the incumbent will support the effective implementation, coordination, monitoring and governance of the Regular Pathways portfolio. Working closely with relevant colleagues in IOM Tunisia, Country Offices in the region and beyond, and institutional and implementing partners, the incumbent will c ontribute to programme planning and management, coordination mechanisms, results monitoring, reporting, knowledge management and follow-up on strategic and operational priorities across the portfolio and, more broadly, within the Migration and Development Unit.
