Within the framework of its projects, Will and Citizenship Organization is recruiting a project coordinator.
About OVC:
Will and Citizenship Organization (OVC) is a youth-led NGO that was created in May 2012 and was granted a visa on June 5, 2012. OVC is an association located in the south-east of Tunisia, in Gabes, but it has a regional geographical reach, specifically the southern region of Tunisia. The NGO works to support the democratic transition, human rights and the rule of law in Tunisia through:
– The defense and promotion of human rights and the concept of citizenship through training workshops for young activists;
– by launching training workshops for election observers ;
– Raising awareness and conducting advocacy campaigns on citizenship, human rights, environmental issues, OpenGov, transparency and corruption;
– Empowering marginalized youth and women in rural areas through social entrepreneurship programs.
Position title and reporting lines:
– Job Title: Project Coordinator
– Report to: Project Manager
– Start Date: Immediately
– Location: based in Gabes with the availability to travel in the regions covered by the project.
– Type of contract: CDD – full time
Main tasks/responsibilities:
– Overall responsibility for strategic direction and project implementation;
– Responsible for the coordination of project activities;
– Support the Project Manager in the day-to-day implementation of the program by ensuring close coordination with other team members;
– Coordinate activities with other local NGOs;
– Raising awareness and networking with local actors;
– Support beneficiaries in the development and implementation of outreach activities, including site visits to the regions;
– Reviewing invoices and supporting documents;
– Archiving of financial documents such as invoices, financial reports, etc.;
– deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports;
Eligibility Criteria
– Bachelor’s degree in management, law, political science, humanities or other relevant field or equivalent;
– A minimum of two years experience in a similar position is required;
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the program team;
– Experience in project coordination and liaison with project partners;
– Excellent report writing and organizational skills;
– Proficiency in MS Office suite, in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
– Good oral and written fluency in English and French.
– Be autonomous, motivated, honest, flexible, rigorous, proactive and respect confidentiality.
– Knowledge/experience with socio-economic support programs for vulnerable families would be an advantage.
