Media and Communication Department Officer-Social Accountability Association

Position title: Part-time Media and Communication Department Officer

Duration: 10 months initially with possible renewal

Location: Tunis, Tunisia

Estimated Start Date: 01/11/2021

About the Association:

Social Accountability Association is a newly established Tunisian SCO that is formed by a group of young civil society leaders who share the same objective of installing and spreading the culture of social accountability in Tunisia in order to reinforce and preserve the newly established democracy. Our association’s objectives are granting civic participation, improving the quality of governance, and preserving democracy.

Therefore, Social Accountability Association is looking for a Media and Communication Department Officer: who will Develop a communication strategy for the association internally and externally and works to implement it he/she will be responsible for creating communications content on behalf of the organization. He/she will do everything from writing press releases to developing blog content and creating social media posts. He/She is also tasked with tracking campaign analytics and maintaining digital media archives. he/she is tasked to establish the association’s *Media and Communication Lab

*Media and Communication Lab: Production of media and digital contents for the Association and keep tracking on the work of the Project “Accountability Radio”.

 Role and Responsibility:

  • Develop, write, and edit marketing and communications materials, including press releases, blog posts, and social media content.
  • Promote communication and marketing materials through appropriate social channels.
  • Track analytics and create reports detailing successes and failures of communications campaigns.
  • Ensure that all communications and marketing material aligns with brand standards.
  • Maintain digital media archives including photos and videos.
  • Work with communications team members to conceptualize and implement communications strategies and campaigns.
  • Develop a communication strategy for the association internally and externally.
  • Develop a media Lab with the help of communication team members.

Critères d'éligibilité

  • Prior experience in a communications or marketing role.
  • Must possess exceptional writing skills and be able to compose engaging and accurate content.
  • Understanding of communications, public relations, and marketing best practices.
  • Ability to think strategically and identify ways to improve communication efforts.
  • Strong communicator who works well independently and with a team.
  • Superior time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator is an asset.
  • Understand the best practices of main social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.
