Project Management Assistant-USAID

  • SALARY : Ordinarily Resident: Gross Salary TD 21,408 per year (Position is graded at the full performance level of Grade: FSN-8).
  • Not-Ordinarily Resident: US $44,737p.a.(Starting Salary)

The United State Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking one individual to fill the position of Project Management Assistant.

  •  BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:

The Project Management Assistant supports the Senior Development Advisor in the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of USAID projects in Tunisia. The Assistant performs program, project, and budget activities, performance monitoring, administrative support, and operates independently in a very active office. The Assistant routinely assumes the administrative responsibilities of a COTR/AOTR, to include managing, implementing, and directing certain activities within approved limits for the training received. The Assistant acts as a full member of the office and participates with the professional staff in the planning, design, development, management, and monitoring of USAID programs in the office. Work includes a variety of research, reporting, contact, monitoring, and analytical duties.

ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA:

1. Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and residency status in determining successful candidacy.

2. Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.

3. Current Ordinarily Resident employees with an Overall Summary Rating of Needs Improvement or Unsatisfactory on their most recent Employee Performance Report are not eligible to apply.

4. Currently employed US Citizen EFMs who hold a FMA appointment are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment.

5. Currently employed NORs hired under a Personal Services Agreement (PSA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment, unless currently hired into a position with a When Actually Employed (WAE) work schedule.

 

 

 

Critères d'éligibilité

  • Education: Completion of High School and at least two years of college or university study is required, with some of the study related to financial subjects desirable.
  • Experience: From three to five years of progressively responsible experience in development assistance or related work, with an international or donor organization or equivalent work with a private or host-government entity is required; ideally, two years of this experience will be with a USG Agency. Experience should have included collection, analysis, evaluation, and presentation of information.
  • Language: Level IV (fluent) speaking, writing and reading in English, Arabic and French are required.
  • Skills and Abilities: The candidate must be tactful, possess good judgment, able to work independently, and to maintain positive working relationships.
  • SELECTION PROCESS: When equally qualified, Appointment Eligible Family Members (USEFMs) and U.S. Veterans will be given preference. Therefore, it is essential that the candidate address the required qualifications above in the application.
