Objective:

Under the direct supervision of the Chief of Mission in Tunisia, and regular reporting to the Mixed Migration Hub (MHub) in Cairo, the incumbent will be part of MHub in Tunisia and be responsible for carrying out the tasks outlined below.

Target:

Datasets from across the target region are identified and integrated in the Migrant Footprints database.

Tasks to be performed under this contract:

• Coordinate with the MHub team in Cairo.
• Map existing country level information sources, including relevant NGOs and other networks, and prepare one comprehensive report.
• Identify populations of interest and conduct interviews, with the assistance of the MHub team and IOM staff where necessary.
• Carry out ad hoc missions at main landing points and bottlenecks to conduct interviews with at least 50 migrants per month, based on a questionnaire developed under the guidance of the Mhub team.
• Enter data into the Migrant Footprints database weekly.
• Provide updated monthly analysis report and process information from the questionnaire findings to MHub on origin, transit and destination countries for integration into the MHub Migration Trend Bulletin.
• Prepare a final report summarising key findings, trends and insights.
• Attend monthly research meetings via Skype or by travel to Cairo, as needed.
• Any other related activity, as required.

Tangible and measurable output of the work assignment:

•  1 x country level data source mapping report.
•  Monthly analysis reports of questionnaire findings for duration of contract.
•  A total of 200 interviews, and at least 50 monthly, transcribed and summarized
• 1 final report for Tunisia summarizing key findings, trends and insights.
• All questionnaire data entered into the Migrant Footprints database weekly.
