Project Background:

The USAID Fiscal and Accounting System of Tunisia (FAST) Project supports the Government of Tunisia (GoT) to improve public financial management.  FAST focuses specifically on enhancing and upgrading the government’s public financial management information system (PFMIS) to increase the efficiency, transparency, and predictability of public finances.  The project strengthens the government’s capacity to carry out fiscal, budgetary, and revenue collection mandates and advances electronic services to optimize regulations, procedures, and authorizations that reduce the cost and time burden on businesses, facilitate investment and trade, and promote innovation. Finally, FAST works to strengthen communication between policy makers and the public to build a common understanding of the constraints to—and opportunities for—economic expansion.


The Finance Intern, will work under the supervision of the finance Manager, will support all project operations, administration, facilities, and asset management. s/he will contribute to the formulation and implementation of Finance policies and procedures.

Responsibilities and Key Tasks:

  • Help maintain proper Finance Department records and daily accounting work.
  • Prepare withholding tax certificates.
  • Scans and files vouchers and supporting documents for uploading into the system.
  • Receive and verify suppliers’ and consultants’ invoices along with justification documents. 
  • Collect all employees’ time sheets, check coding and approval signatories. 
  • Ensure proper maintenance and safe and secure storage of all office equipment and property 
  • Assist in drafting bidding documents, evaluation reports and contract award submissions. 
  • Assist in Processing invoices for goods and services delivered, ensuring accuracy and completeness or documentation and timely payment. Follow up to completion and inform clients. 
  • Perform other duties as required.

Critères d'éligibilité

  • Registered in a university level education in related fields.
  • Good English communication skills
