Title:Project Coordinator

Description:

The Institute for War & Peace Reporting (IWPR)is seeking a Tunis-based Project Coordinator. The position will support the implementation of the Local Election Monitoring in Tunisiaproject. This position is contingent on project funding.

Essential duties and responsibilities : 

  1. Plans and coordinates, in conjunction with the Project Manager, operations and administration of the above-mentioned project.
    1. Provides administrative, reporting, and logistical support to theproject.
    2. Works with trainers and Tunisian partners to execute their project plans; identifying benchmarks for progress and meeting these goals
    3. Ensures compliance with funders’ requirements as well as with organisational policy, procedures and objectives.
    4. Reviews and monitors program progress to ensure that goals and objectives are being met.
    5. Supports the planning and coordination of all programming and content production inside partner radio stations.
  1. Edit and contribute to programmatic reporting and M&E development.
    1. Gathers information and prepare reports for program M&E procedures.
    2. Monitors programme deliverables and outputs to ensure compliance with grant obligations.
    3. Resolves routine operating problems as they arise.
  1. Creates and maintains procurement records including electronic records in the GoogleDocs system and other systems, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data.

  1. Assiststhe Project Manager and Finance department in the financial management of the project.

  1. Performs other duties and undertakes other projects as may be assigned from time to time.

Critères d'éligibilité

  • Knowledge of elections and governance.
  • In depth knowledge of US Government procurement practices and regulations
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage logistics, forwarding and clearing
  • Excellent Excel and Word skills.
  • Experience working with vendors and hotels.
  • Ability to perform job specific mathematics.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic skills, with French preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive and highly organized working style
  • Ability to work effectively in a team or independently.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the country as needed/required by the program objectives.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; coursework in US, UK, or EU procurement regulations strongly preferred
  • Minimum three years of experience in a similar role with a USG-funded organization
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
