Description: The Tunis-based Project Coordinatorwill provide general programmatic oversight, including administrative and reporting/Monitoring and Evaluation to the IWPR’s Protecting Activists and Civil Society program in Libya, a project to strengthen media freedom, freedom of expression, and civil society advocacy.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of project implementation, under the supervision of the Country Director. This will entail designing mechanisms for the delivery of all activities under the grant;
- Work with international trainers and Libyan partners to execute their project plans; identifying benchmarks for progress and meeting these goals;
- Review and monitor program progress to ensure that overall program goals and objectives are being met;
- Work closely with the Country Director and Finance Managers on program financial management and budget control;
- Identify problem areas and devising solutions, in consultation with the Country Director;
- Supervise Monitoring & Evaluation for all program related activities, including liaising directly with program partners to evaluate the successes and impacts of this radio content;
- Complete all reports and documentation required by the project, working with the finance manager to ensure that all funds are used and reported properly.
Finance and Reporting
- Assist Finance department in financial management of project, as directed by the Country Director in coordination with the Finance Director;
- Monitor project budget to ensure proper implementation and spend rates, working with Country Director and Finance Department.
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Develop programmatic M&E mechanisms to measure and report project progress;
- Edit and contribute to programmatic reporting and M&E development;
- Gather information and prepare reports for program M&E procedures;
- Monitor programme deliverables and outputs to ensure compliance with grant obligations.
Other
- Maintain up-to-date human resources files for project staff, interns or volunteers;
- Compile materials for the monthly newsletters and Company global website when required;
- Establishing and maintaining a current database of contacts;
- Translate short documents relevant to IWPR work between English and Arabic, monitor social media and Arab language media when required;
- Undertake other duties that may be reasonably requested by the Country or MENA Director.
