Job Position:
- Programs Support Officer Contract: Temporary (4 months) –
- possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability. Working hours: full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.Occasional work on weekends.
- Reporting to: Regional Programs Manager, IDEA MENA
- Location: IDEA MENA Regional Office, Tunis, Tunisia
- Gross Salary: 900 TND
- Expected start date: 15 September 2015
The successful applicant should already have the right to work in Tunisia.
Areas of responsibility
1. Programs implementation
- Provide support to partners in assessing the context and needs; in planning and implementing activities; and in monitoring and reporting
- Contribute to the development of relations with counterparts (civil society, partner organizations, alumni network) and work towards supporting their activities and involvement with community through:
- assisting in the design and delivery of local training and other support activities.
- supporting partners to ensure the participation of marginalized groups/NGOs of women, young people and ethnic minorities in debate activities
- supporting the organization and facilitation of events (public debates, workshops, training) with participation of civil society network, partners and the team
- Assist the RPM to assume operational management of the program in accordance with program documents and IDEA and funder policies and procedures;
- Together with the RPM, prepare, monitor, review and update program work plans and budgets for submission to stakeholders;
- Ensure that all agreements with local partners are prepared and agreed. Supervise and coordinate the implementation of these agreements;
- Together with the RPM, prepare Terms of Reference for consultants (national and international) and for the various program activities;
- Report regularly to, and keep the RPM up to date on program progress and challenges
2. Funding and Administration
- Assist the RPM in: the drafting of project narrative and financial reports,
- preparing estimates for budgeted activities,
- monitoring budgets and expenditure,
- ensuring financial operations are transparent and comply with IDEA and funder policies;
- ensuring records are in order for auditing at any time,
- fundraising and proposal development,
- undertaking monitoring and evaluation tasks.
- Take on other administrative tasks as assigned by the RPM and Executive Director, such as updating the database
3. Communications
- Help develop appropriate communication strategies – in co-operation with partners and the team
- Ensure the effective implementation of communication plans by partners
- When necessary, represent IDEA MENA in workshops, training and other events organized by partner organizations
