The ICRC Delegation in Libya – temporarily located in Tunis – seeks to fill the following position:


Economic Security Assistant

The position is based in Tunis


Under the supervision of the EcoSec Generalist 3, Economic Security Assistant carries out basic field and office work related to implementing and monitoring the ICRC’s economic security (EcoSec) program. S/he will focus on the data management file and keep EcoSec documentation and records up to date.



  • With limited supervision, collects and files the documents required to comply with the institutional distribution tracking system and maintain all files up-to-date.
  • Supports the department in preparing the needed SRs & other log and FAD documents.
  • Enters data into databases. This includes assessment, registration and monitoring data in line with the institutional guidelines for data storage, processing and confidentiality.
  • Maintains and manages databases. Updates and retrieves data in/from specialized tools and databases.
  • Performs medium-level data analysis and provides information to supervisor upon request. 
  • Enters, centralizes and submits statistical reports using EcoSec Program Management Tool (EPMT).
  • Prepares for meetings by setting up rooms and materials, including technical set-up for conference calls, presentations and video conferences
  • Handles information (general and specific) accurately and with confidentially.

Official working hours are Sundays to Thursdays 0800 -1700 (one-hour lunch break)

Starting date: ASAP.

Critères d'éligibilité

  • High school diploma, technical education or professional degree in a related field.
  • Good command (spoken and written) of English. Native knowledge of Arabic.
  • Written and oral fluency in English and Arabic
  • Computer fluency, especially in Excel software
  • Autonomous; good rigor, method and analytical skills
  • 2–3 years' experience in a similar field.
  • Experience working for a NGO or international organization an asset
  • Capacity to treat information confidentially
  • Possess administrative and organizational skills and have a sense of responsibility and discretion
  • Be punctual, rigorous with strong organizational skills in the daily work
  • Have the sense of responsibility and capacity to fix and respect priorities
  • Show proactivity and perseverance, and ability to cope with stress
