POSITION: Admin & Finance Officer

LOCATION: Tunis, Tunisia


WORK PERIOD: Full-time (40 hours/week) for one-year contract with possibility for extension.

HIRING STATUS: Full time fixed-term contract, with a probationary period of 3 months.

SALARY: A competitive salary will be offered and negotiated, based on the candidate’s salary/rate history and the position’s requirements.

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of: Admin & Finance Officer.


FHI 360 is implementing the Department of State Collaborative Action for Handicraft Exports (ACEA) project in Tunisia. In partnership with the National Office of Handicrafts (ONAT), the goal of this project is to foster a more competitive handicraft value chain in Tunisia, leading to long-term sustainable economic growth, increased exports, and increased employment.

This goal would be achieved through a technical support to two handicrafts value chains, including the initiatives of two clusters. A first step was initiated by a technical support to the value chain “Natural extract” in the north west of Tunisia. While keep providing support to this value chain, the project will focus on another one, to be determined.



Under the direct supervision of the Director of Finance and in close collaboration with the Program Officer, the Admin & Finance Officer will be fulfilling the following responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of administrative, logistic and financial tasks with respect to FHI 360 and U.S. Department of State policies and procedures
  • Conduct market researches to identify best vendors and offers
  • Prepare and process documentation for procurement
  • Ensure coordination with suppliers for deliveries
  • Make travel arrangements for the team
  • Provide logistical assistance on the organization of events
  • Ensure all invoices are being processed and paid on a timely manner
  • Provide assistance to other team members on preparing their expense and travel reports
  • Assist the Program Officer with the preparation of the budget projections and reports on a regular basis.
  • Maintain inventory of office stationery and plan replenishments.
  • Supervise the driver by overseeing the daily transport schedules, fuel consumption and trip plans.
  • Provide additional assistance when required

Critères d'éligibilité

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Logistics, Finance/Accounting, Business/Commerce or other relevant academic background
  • Must have at least 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably with an NGO
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills. Fluent in English, Arabic and French
  • Familiarity with US Government rules and regulations is highly desirable
  • Required high level of proficiency in manipulating MS Office Applications
  • Positive, pro-active personality with strong interpersonal and networking skills
  • Autonomous, articulate, professional and able to communicate in a clear and positive way
  • Ability to coordinate multiple simultaneous tasks, set realistic priorities, and develop/adhere to plans for successful implementation of activities
