Job Title: Graphic Designer

Project: Ma3an, Tunisia Resilience and Community Empowerment (TRACE)

FHI 360 is currently recruiting for the position of Communication Officer for the organization’s USAID-funded Ma3an program, which will increase the capacity of communities to withstand political, social, and economic stresses and shocks by achieving the objectives of: 1) strengthened community resilience, 2) mitigated community vulnerabilities, and 3) improved capacity of Tunisian partners to sustain and replicate the model. Ma3an will spur 30 of Tunisia’s most vulnerable communities to action and generate sustainable resources for development in areas that are vulnerable to instability and violent extremism (VE). Together with USAID/Tunisia’s programs in accountability, decentralization, and youth entrepreneurship (i.e., TADAEEM and Mashrou3i), Ma3an will consolidate democratic progress while fostering social cohesion in target areas.

Job Summary

Ma3an is seeking a talented, energetic graphic designer to work in our Communication department. Under the supervision of the Social Media Officer, the designer will produce assets in English and Arabic/Tounsi, in a variety of styles and sizes to be used in our channels (print, email, online display and content). The ideal candidate will have experience in a collaborative, fast-paced and deadline-driven graphic design atmosphere.

Position Responsibilities 

  • Planning concepts by studying relevant information and materials.
  • Coordinating with the Community Manager and the Social Media Officer to answer the communication concept notes
  • Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed.
  • Creating a wide range of graphic formats: Motion design videos, Infographics and visuals (Online and Offline)
  • Maintain good working relationship with Ma3an local partner and local media
  • Work closely with regional office to keep abreast of program activities.

Critères d'éligibilité

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a graphic designer or in related field. (Experience in Agencies will be an asset)
  • Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.
  • Proficiency with required desktop publishing tools, including Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Premiere and Illustrator.
  • A strong eye for visual composition.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Able to give and receive constructive criticism.
  • Fluency in Tounsi and proficiency in French or English required.
