FHI 360 is currently recruiting for the position of Communication Officer for the organization’s USAID-funded Ma3an program, which will increase the capacity of communities to withstand political, social, and economic stresses and shocks by achieving the objectives of: 1) strengthened community resilience, 2) mitigated community vulnerabilities, and 3) improved capacity of Tunisian partners to sustain and replicate the model. Ma3an will spur 30 of Tunisia’s most vulnerable communities to action and generate sustainable resources for development in areas that are vulnerable to instability and violent extremism (VE). Together with USAID/Tunisia’s programs in accountability, decentralization, and youth entrepreneurship (i.e., TADAEEM and Mashrou3i), Ma3an will consolidate democratic progress while fostering social cohesion in target areas.

Job Summary

Ma3an is seeking a talented and energetic Copy Writer to work in our Communication department. Under the supervision of the Communication Manager, the Copy Writer will write text to engage Ma3an participants and audience through Motion design video, animated infographics and social media content. The Copy Writer will be comfortable and confident in their own writing in English and Tounsi, with a great mix of judgment, creative thinking, flexibility and a learning-mindset.

 Position Responsibilities 

• Lead copy direction and execution for all communication formats and assets
• In collaboration with the Campaign Officer and the Communication Manager develops storytelling campaigns
• Communicates and presents strategic concepts to management and senior leadership
• Assist and support PR, Social Media, as needed
• Mutually inspire and challenge other creative team members
• Stay up-to-date on brand and user trends.
