Community Support Activity Thala: 

Training of trainers in social media and podcast Call for Expert Trainer

Project Overview: 

Ma3an is a five-year (2018-2023) youth-focused project – funded by the United States AgencyforInternational Development (USAID) that aims to increase youth participation in civic and political life, address youth grievances, and prevent radicalization in vulnerable communities. Ma3an’s objectives areto equip youth with the skills to engage in civic action to address their communities’ needs andgrievances through positive youth development (PYD) and enhance Tunisian capabilities to prevent andcounter violent extremism (P/CVE). 

Ma3an community support activity in Thala: 

Ma3a project implementing a community support activity in Thala, the intervention is inclosecollaboration with local stakeholders to modernize and equip youth center of Thala with the necessaryequipment to foster youth’s engagement in cultural and sports activities, address their vulnerabilitiesand drive them away from violence and radicalization through providing spaces for art performances, leisure and sports activities and a space for expression and countering violence narratives 

Therefore, Ma3an is rehabilitating a multidisciplinary sports field for women, a cinematography club, petanque playground, Multidisciplinary rooms, Outdoor Workout space and a multidisciplinary sportsfield for all youth 

Ma3an also providing trainings to make the intervention at the youth center more effective anduseful for the community. Therefore, Ma3an is providing training of trainer in video creation, cinema, andvideo production for the youth, youth center facilitator, CSO representative and local stakeholders. 

Required Expert Service: 

The expert will lead the development and facilitation of 3 days of social media and podcast trainingof trainers in Thala.

Scope of Work (SoW): 

Ma3an will organize 3 days of in social media and podcast training of trainer. The training targetsagroup of 15 to 20 participants. 

Objectives: 

1. To give insight into increasing the quality of content so that posts reach more people 2. Equip the participants with necessary tools to use creative writing techniques to shape thecontents around specific niche audience and to present powerful and effective audio 3. Equip the audience with necessary tools to transfer the knowledge to strengthen their trainingand facilitation skill. 

Target Audience: 

∙ 15 Youth between 18 to 29, youth center facilitators, Youth program inspector, CSOrepresentative and local stakeholders. 

Expected Deliverables: 

∙ Develop a rigorous methodology on workshops themes/subthemes, content, format, andtypeof interaction with audience (Training Preferred to be delivered in Arabic or/and Tunisiandialect). 

∙ Lead the implementation, coordination, and facilitation of the training sessions.

∙ 1 room with at least capacity of 30 pax. 

Payment Terms 

∙ The contractor will be paid on a lump sum basis as per agreed per assignment.
