EFE Background

Education For Employment (EFE) believes that when young people have jobs and the hope of building a future, they help lay the foundation for prosperous and secure societies. EFE has a network of local non-profit organizations operating across the Middle East and North Africa in the following countries: Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, Yemen,United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

EFE’s mission is to provide economic opportunities for youth, enabling them to transform their lives through productive, independent livelihoods. Two elements distinguish EFE: 1) We are a network of locally-run, not-for-profit organizations led by a national board of directors from the private sector and staff, and 2) We complete the circle beyond training to place graduates in jobs or connect them to entrepreneurship support, and provide ongoing learning and civic engagement opportunities as part of EFE’s Alumni Network.

Reporting directly to the EFE-Tunisia CEO, the Alumni Coordinator will work primarily with the Tunisian program team and particularly the Program Manager,  the M&E Manager and the Entrepreneurship Program Coordinator.  S/he will also collaborate with the European and U.S. program teams.

Responsibilities:

The Alumni Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of all alumni activities.  S/he will be based in EFE-Tunisie’s office in Tunis. The Alumni Coordinator will be responsible for the following:

  • Contribute in the elaboration of a strategy and value proposition for EFE-Tunisie Alumni
  • Elevate the level of visibility of EFE-Tunisie’s alumni and alumni activities
  • Establish and maintain relationship with alumni and serve as main point of contact
  • Coordinate the activities and support the work of the Alumni Council
  • Check compliance with eligibility criteria for EFE-Tunisie programs’ candidates enrollment
  • Track, compile and validate existing alumni information into a database and continually retrieve and update info
  • Oversee alumni budget tracking and monitoring, and solicit alumni for volunteering and/or financial contributions
  • Manage the Alumni network, ensuring alumni participation in continuing education, mentoring and civic engagement activities
  • Engage Alumni through organizing events and activities
  • Interact with EFE-US M&E officer to provide alumni tracking data to the wider network
  • Write success stories & present reports on alumni

 

Critères d'éligibilité

  • 2-3 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred
  • Experience in program implementation
  • Project management and Database skills are required
  • Demonstrated ability to design, develop and implement multiple projects
  • Experience with youth associations or youth clubs is required
  • Strong communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in French, English and Arabic is required
  • Immediate availability required
