Position: Curricula Review and Development Coordinator
Location: Tunis, Tunisia
Background
Education For Employment – Tunisia (EFE-Tunisie), supporting implementer Chemonics, seeks to hire a Curricula Review and Development Coordinator to support the USAID Tunisia Jobs, Opportunities, and Business Success (JOBS) project. In order to support the objectives of component 2, the Curricula Review and Development Coordinator consultant will work with the Curriculum Development Specialist and the Job Placement & Career Center Specialist on improving the match between skills in demand in the labor market and training provided in order to address structural unemployment.
Responsibilities
In order to ensure the success of the JOBS project and fulfill EFE-Tunisie’s responsibilities under the work plan, the Curricula Review and Development Coordinator will carry out the following responsibilities:
- Ensures the follow-up of the deliverables of the gap analysis studies and skills framework
- Assist faculties and 4c to Identify curricula to be developed
- Validate and ensure quality of deliverables for new curricula developed
- Assess faculties capacity to implement new study-plan (software, materials, TOT..)
- Coordinate with EFE-Tunisie Senior Training Manager to ensure the implementation of teacher’s training sessions in Softskills, new Technical courses and new teaching-methods
- Coordinate with Curriculum Development Specialist to monitor softskills and new technical curricula implementation
Other Duties
Curricula Review and Development Coordinator can support other stakeholders on the project in his areas of expertise.
Reporting and working relationships
Curricula Review and Development Coordinator will report to the Curriculum Development Specialist
The consultant will deliver:
- A report that details tasks conducted during the period of consultancy
- Contributions to monthly reports on activities performed by C2, which should reflect the work plan for the Tunisia JOBS project
Critères d'éligibilité
- Graduate degree in education, human resource development, organizational behavior or other relevant or equivalent field. In circumstances where a candidate possesses exceptional relevant experience but lacks a graduate degree, relevant post-education experience will be considered.
- At least five years of experience in education or education-related programming, including creating, distributing, and monitoring curriculum.
- Experience in two or more of the following areas: Workforce Management, process design, policy harmonization, workforce analytics, project management, workshop facilitation
- Excellent interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills (verbal and written), outstanding management skills (including ethical management), resourcefulness, flexibility, and creative problem-solving skills
- Fluency in French and English; proficiency in Arabic is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience working with USAID and other USG funders. (Preferred)
- Familiarity with Tunisia and the economic context of Tunisia. (Preferred)
- 1-3 years’ experience leading a team or project. (Preferred)
- Experience with economic development or job creation projects. (Preferred)
