POSITION:Content Creator

LOCATION: Tunis, Tunisia

DATE TO SUBMIT APPLICATION: 31 July 2020

WORK PERIOD: Full-time (40 hours/week) for one-year contract with possibility for extension.

HIRING STATUS: Full time fixed-term contract, with a probationary period of 3 months.

SALARY: A competitive salary will be offered and negotiated, based on the candidate’s salary/rate history and the position’s requirements.

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of :  Content Creator.

Description

FHI 360 is implementing the Department of State Collaborative Action for Handicraft Exports (ACEA) project in Tunisia. In partnership with the National Office of Handicrafts (ONAT), the goal of this project is to foster a more competitive handicraft value chain in Tunisia, leading to long-term sustainable economic growth, increased exports, and increased employment.

This goal would be achieved through a technical support to two handicrafts value chains, including the initiatives of two clusters. A first step was initiated by a technical support to the value chain “Natural extract” in the north west of Tunisia. While keep providing support to this value chain, the project will focus on another one, to be determined.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the direct supervision of the Marketing and Communication Manager and in close coordination with the Program Manager, the Content Creator will be fulfilling the following responsibilities:

  • Prepare engaging text, images and video content
  • Produce valuable and engaging content for digital communication (social networks, website and communication materials).
  • Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and stakeholders engagement metrics
  • Oversee social media accounts’ layout
  • Support development of the Project’s marketing and communication activities.
  • Provide briefings and reports about national and international handicrafts sector’s events, news and opportunities, with o focus on essential oils and natural extracts value chains. This includes newspaper articles, reports, announcements, calls for proposals, upcoming seminars and workshops, opportunities for collaboration …
  • Support events planning, arrangements and implementation (including trainings and workshops)
  • Update the different databases in relation with communication and PR (contacts, pictures, videos, reports related to events etc …)
  • May provide administrative support to programs as needed by writing, reviewing, and translating reports on a quarterly basis.
  • May be required to perform tasks outside of Tunis (other Tunisian regions and/or other countries).

Critères d'éligibilité

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Marketing, communication or a related field
  • Must have 2-4 years of technical and/or practical experience with PR and/or communication
  • A previous experience with handicraft products marketing is highly desired
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in English, Arabic and French
  • Positive, pro-active personality with good interpersonal and networking skills
  • Experience with international programs preferred
  • Familiarity with US Government rules and regulations is highly desirable
  • Articulate, professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive fashion with clients and staff
  • Ability to coordinate multiple simultaneous processes, set realistic priorities, and develop/adhere to plans for successful implementation of activities
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite and updating databases
