Ma3an (“Together” in Arabic), is a five-year project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The project’s implementation period is from September 1, 2018 until August 31,2023.
FHI360 implements the USAID-funded Ma3an program in partnership with the Tunisian Government. Ma3an aims to increase the capacity of 33 of Tunisia’s most vulnerable communities to withstand political, social, and economic stresses and shocks. Ma3an provides community stakeholders, including youth, civil society, government, and private sector representatives, with the tools and resources needed for effective collaboration to address community-specific vulnerabilities, harness public and private sector resources for sustainable development, and ultimately become more socially cohesive and resilient.

Objective :

Despite clear progress, the threat of violent extremism remains significant in Tunisia. In fact, VE groups have developed powerful narratives that capitalize on both “push” and “pull” factors that can radicalize youth. To support the existing efforts, FHI360 has developed a CVE Reference Guide for Local Organizations, an online toolkit produced by FHI 360 with USAID funding that provides information and guidance on how to assess, design, implement, evaluate and learn in P/CVE projects, including practical worksheets and case studies. The tool will be used among official and non-official actors. Therefore, Ma3an has translate the CVE Reference guide into Arabic. For the easy use of the reference guide, FHI 360 is recruiting an editing service provider that will check and edit the Arabic version of the CVE reference guide. The selected service provider will make sure the used language and vocabulary is adequate to the Tunisian context.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

The hired firm/expert will provide the following:

• The service provider will ensure the editing of the translated Arabic version of the P/CVE Reference guide (58.000 Words / 230 Pages). The guide to be edited is a technical document (translated from English to Arabic) focusing on P/CVE related material. 
• The service provider will ensure the language/vocabulary used in the final Reference guide is adequate to the Tunisian context 

Deliverables

Eligibility Criteria:

• Minimum of 3 professional References
• 3 Examples of previous edited documents (At least one example relative to P/CVE) 
• Tax ID (Patent),
• Detailed financial Offer in local currency (TND) excluding VAT,

Period of Performance:

The assignment is to be undertaken within the estimated contract period from February 10th until March 7th, 2022.

Selection Criteria:

• Sample quality: 25 Points 
• P/CVE language knowledge: 25 points 
• Financial offer/proposed rate: 25 Points
• References: 25 points
