Chemonics International seeks Two Administrative Assistant for the newly awarded USAID The Tunisia Jobs, Opportunities, and Business Success (JOBS) project. The purpose of JOBS is to create jobs in Tunisia by providing targeted technical assistance to individual firms, in order to increase that firm’s competitiveness, enabling it to expand and hire additional workers. At the
same time, in support of the goal of job creation, the project will assist Tunisia with workforce development and job placement as well as identify and advocate for improvements in Tunisia’s business enabling environment.

The Administrative Assistant (2 positions) will be responsible for assisting with the project’s human resources and operations related functions, including recruitment, onboarding employees, administrative and logistical support. We are seeking individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Responsibilities include:

Operations

  • Supports day to day office operations, including but not limited to the purchase of office supplies, project staff and consultants travel logistics, event coordination, tracking inventory of all project equipment, and managing project vehicle use and maintenance.
  • Coordinates with other Administrative Assistants as needed.

Human Resources

  • Supports project recruitment process ensuring compliance with established procedures and regulations, including posting job advertisements, collection of resumes, scheduling interviews conducting reference checks and collecting biodata information.
  • Supports onboarding process, including collecting hew hire paperwork and coordinating new hire orientation.
  • Helps maintain all personnel and recruitment files and ensure files are complete and in compliance with local labor law and Chemonics’s and USAID policies.
  • Assists with maintenance and adherence to human resource standards and operating procedures.
  • Ensures all processes are compliant with Chemonics’ manual, local labor laws, and USAID regulations.

Other

  • Perform other duties as to achieve the project’s goals and objectives.

Critères d'éligibilité

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 2 years of professional experience related to office operations and/or human resources preferred
  • Experience working with USAID or other international donors preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
  • Fluency in Arabic, French, English required.
