Background: The International Republican Institute (IRI) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan,  organization dedicated to advancing freedom and democracy worldwide. Since 1983, IRI  has worked to develop democratic institutions and ideals, carrying out a variety of  international programs to promote freedom, self-government and the rule of law  worldwide. IRI provides technical assistance in the areas of political party strengthening,  developing civic institutions and open elections, promoting democratic governance and  advancing the rule of law.  

IRI is supporting Tunisian civil society organizations (CSOs) to raise awareness among  citizens of political processes and promote the meaningful participation of citizens in the  political process where appropriate, especially traditionally marginalized populations  including women, youth, persons with disabilities, and rural Tunisians. The CSOs will  conduct voter education and election monitoring activities in advance of the July 2022  referendum and the December 2022 legislative elections. 

Eligibility: CSO that is registered in Tunisia and that has past experience implementing  projects in the target regions proposed in project 

Period of Performance: Projects must be completed by December 31, 2022 and should not exceed  a period of performance of 8 months.
