Background

The Arab Association of Constitutional Law (the “AACL”) is a regional association of constitutional law experts that seeks to influence the public debate on rights and governance frameworks.  The AACL seeks to achieve this goal through a number of means, including but not limited to the implementation of projects.  For that purpose, the AACL is seeking to recruit the services of a Communication and Outreach Officer who will be responsible for implementing projects on behalf of the AACL.

Scope of Work

The Communication and Outreach Officer will have overall responsibility for planning, developing and conducting outreach and communication activities to effectively increase the AACL’svisibility. The Communication and Outreach Officer will be also responsible for following up all the publications and supporting other offices in organizing different events.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Review documentation and communications components of ongoing projects;
• Develop and implement the AACL’s communication and outreach strategy.
• Enhance AACL’s online presence by maintaining and regularly updating itswebsite and other online platforms. This will  include establishing email groups, social media accounts and other relevant platforms.
• Supervise the production of AACL publications.
• Develop creative visibility materials for AACL activities for donors and other stakeholders.
• Support the Executive Director in establishing regular internal communication tools with the committees and the general assembly.
• Support administration office in managing all AACL activities.

Job conditions

• Duty Station : The duty station will be Tunis.
• Duration of Contract : 13 Months – 1 November 2018- 30 November 2019.
• Type of Contract : Part-time (20 hours per week).
• Reporting Line : The Communication and Outreach Officer will report to the Executive Director.
