Presentation of KOICA:

The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) was established in 1991 as a government organization for Official Development Assistance (ODA) to improve the effectiveness of the Republic of Korea’s grant assistance programs for developing countries by implementing government grant assistance and technical cooperation programs. Present in 46 countries, KOICA provides rich and authentic experiences of Korea’s economic development.

The areas of intervention of KOICA in Tunisia are:

  • Governance and Democracy
  • International Development and cooperation, etc
  • Job creation (for youth and women)
  • Capacity building of public institutions
  • Volunteer Program

As part of the implementation of the Bilateral cooperation program, Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) is seeking to recruit an Administrative Assistant.

General information about the position:

  • Description: Administrative Assistant
  • Workplace: Tunis
  • Type of contract: 3 month probation period will be initially offered. After 3 month probation period, the contract will be renewed yearly based on one’s performance and program requirements according to KOICA’s regulation.
  • Salary or salary range: TND 1,740 (Gross salary)
  • Writing test: The writing test will be taken place on 23rd February 2024
  • Interview: Those who pass the writing test will be given an interview opportunity
  • Preferred start date of the position:  01 April 2024

Your mission:

  • Organize and Schedule appointments for administrative tasks.
  • Develop and maintain a filing system and documentation process.
  • Assist the preparation of regularly scheduled reports (e.g. Time & Attendance, Leave, Flexible Work, etc).
  • Maintain contact lists and reach out to the relevant counterparts when requested from other colleagues.
  • Collect and submit expense-related documents (Quotation, receipt, payment, bank statement, etc.).
  • Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and documents.
  • Maintain and update the office regulations and policies in consultation with supervisors.
  • Order office supplies and research new deals and (potential) suppliers.
  • Support the implementation of the activities of other KOICA-funded programs/projects in Tunisia (if deemed necessary).
  • Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by the direct supervisor (i.e. administrative work related to the projects; new project and program process tasks, etc.)
  • Present availability for business travel when applicable.

Selection Process:

Only candidates who have met all the requirements of the position and have been selected for interviews will be contacted. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

  • All the detailed information on written tests will be noticed to the longlisted candidates on 19th February.
  • A written test will be conducted (in French and English) on 23rd February.
  • All the detailed information on interviews will be noticed to the shortlisted candidates on 29th February.
  • Interviews will be conducted (in French and English) on 6th March.
  • The successful candidates will be announced on 8th March.

This schedule is subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.

Critères d'éligibilité

  • Completed minimum high school degree and passed the Baccalauréat.
  • Work experience in the fields of international cooperation, coordination and administrative affairs will be preferred
  • Knowledge of the regional development problems in Tunisia, and minimum knowledge of the socio-economic context of the country
  • Languages: English and French are the working languages of KOICA. Intermediate level in both English (written and oral) and French (written and oral) is required, and knowledge of Korean is advantageous. The candidate’s language skills will be verified during the writing test and the job interview.
  • Good driving skills and basic knowledge on maintaining vehicles.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft word and excel, etc.
  • Excellent communication, professionalism and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and effectively manage multiple and varied tasks.
  • Ability to identify priorities and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work independently, proactively and cooperatively.
  • Demonstrate integrity by modeling the values and ethical standards of KOICA.
