MORE ABOUT THE EVENT:
Dr. Peter Hotez visited Tunisia in 2015 in his capacity as a U.S. Science Envoy, a program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State. During his visit, he worked with Tunisian vaccinologists at Pasteur Institute on building vaccine development capacity. A true believer in “vaccine diplomacy,” Dr. Hotez is excited to connect with Tunisians again during this event.
🔹Dr. Hotez will share information about his team’s development of prototype vaccines and what comes next. He will also discuss the role of the World Health Organization (WHO) in ensuring that vaccines reach all countries and populations.
🔹Dr. Hotez will take questions from the audience in a discussion aimed at scientific sharing of knowledge and expertise.
🔹We expect this to be a fairly high-level scientific discussion. Medical professionals, researchers, and students with an interest in medicine and public health are highly encouraged to join!
