Why protest?
Our country has witnessed the dangerous effects of climate change, from record high temperatures, many forest fires that have become threatened due to political indifference to environmental problems, the absence of urgent solutions to water problems in many Tunisian regions that are deprived of their right to drinkable water and all the other effects of climate change that directly affect the standard of living and the Tunisian economy, as vital sectors in Tunisia have become threatened by this environmental dilemma forgotten by the officials.
Our country has witnessed the dangerous effects of climate change, from record high temperatures, many forest fires that have become threatened due to political indifference to environmental problems, the absence of urgent solutions to water problems in many Tunisian regions that are deprived of their right to drinkable water and all the other effects of climate change that directly affect the standard of living and the Tunisian economy, as vital sectors in Tunisia have become threatened by this environmental dilemma forgotten by the officials.
We, Youth For Climate Tunisia, are a group of young people, from all parts of Tunisia, aged between 16 and 26, who happen to believe in the same cause and share a common goal which is to maintain a healthy sustainable future for today’s and the future generations.
We want to declare a climate emergency in tunisia. We ask politicians to integrate climate change measures into policy making. We demand to strengthen resilience and adaptive capacity to climate impacts and put pressure on wealthy countries to support the loss and damage finance facility. We ask for a clear adaptation strategy that satisfies social justices.

لماذا نحتجّ؟
شهدت بلادنا آثارا خطيرة لتغيّر المناخ، من درجات حرارة عالية قياسيّة و احتراق الثّروة الغابيّة التّي أصبحت مهدّدة بسبب اللاّمبالاة السياسيّة بالمشاكل البيئيّة، وغياب الحلول العاجلة لمشاكل انقطاع المياه المتكرّرة في العديد من المناطق التّونسيّة المحرومة من حقّها في المياه الصّالحة للشّرب وجميع الآثار الأخرى لتغيّر المناخ التي تؤثّر بشكل مباشر على مستوى المعيشة والاقتصاد التّونسيّ، حيث أصبحت القطاعات الحيويّة في تونس مهدّدة بهذه المعضلة البيئيّة التي نسيها المسؤولون.

نحن، شبيبة من أجل المناخ بتونس، مجموعة من الشّباب من أنحاء تراب البلاد تتراوح أعمارنا بين 16 و26 عامًا، نؤمن بنفس القضيّة ونشترك في هدف واحد ألا وهو الحفاظ على مستقبل صحيّ مستدام للأجيال الحاليّة و القادمة.
نريد إعلان حالة الطّوارئ المناخيّة في تونس، لذلك نطالب السّياسّيين بدمج تدابير تغيّر المناخ في صنع القرارات السّياسيّة. نحن نطالب أيضا بتعزيز المرونة والقدرة على التّكيف مع تأثيرات المناخ والضّغط على الدّول الغنية لدعم مرفق تمويل الخسائر والأضرار المناخيّة. كما نطالب باستراتيجية تكييف واضحة ترضي العدالة الاجتماعيّة.
