Position: Youth Engagement and Recruitment Coordinator 

Location: EFE-Tunisie South Office, Zarzis, Tunisia

EFE Background

Education for Employment (EFE) believes that when young people have jobs and the hope of building a future, they help lay the foundation for prosperous and secure societies. EFE has a network of local nonprofits operating across the Middle East and North Africa :Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, Yemen, UAE and Saudi Arabia.

EFE’s mission is to provide economic opportunities for youth, enabling them to transform their lives through productive, independent livelihoods. Two elements distinguish EFE: 1) We are a network of locally-run non-profits led by a national board of directors (mainly from the private sector) and staff, and 2) We complete the circle beyond training to place graduates in jobs or connect them to entrepreneurship support, and then to provide ongoing learning and civic engagement opportunities.

Context

In the scope of the project “Supporting Job Creation for Young Tunisians from Marginalized Communities” and with the support of the US Embassy in Tunisia and the Near Eastern Affairs Bureau (NEA), EFE-Tunisie is launching new offices in Zarzis to better serve youth in the south region and particularly the governorate of Mednine and the Borders with Libya. 

Reporting directly to the Regional Director for the South, the Youth Engagement and Recruitment Coordinator   will work primarily in close collaboration with the EFE-Tunisie team and particularly the Senior Training Manager, the Program Manager and the M&E Manager. He/She will also collaborate with the European and U.S. teams. 

Responsibilities:

The Youth Engagement and Sourcing Coordinator will report directly to the Regional Director for the South.

• He/She will have the following responsibilities :
• Ensure the sourcing  of young people in accordance with the EFE-Tunisie project objectives in the south.
• Identify young job seekers: Identify and use the sources and channels of suitable candidates for recruiting young people to benefit from EFE-Tunisie programs in the south region;
• Ensure the quality of the profiles selected for training, in accordance with the requirements of donors and job opportunities identified with employer partners in the region. 
• Manage and mobilize all the resources and means necessary for the identification and recruitment of young people. (online, offline), 
• Carry out communication and sourcing actions, lead workshops, plenaries and other meetings aimed at promoting the foundation’s programs for the recruitment of young beneficiaries
• Organize awareness and youth engagement workshops and events to sensitize youth from the south region about topics such as civic engagement and transition form the informal to the formal sector.
• Create and consolidate partnerships with partners in the region (Regional employment offices BETI, Vocational training centers, Universities, NGOs  and particularly Youth NGOs, etc.)
• Ensure the selection of candidates through the selection tools and procedures (eligibility of candidates for EFE-Tunisie programs)
• Ensure that youth sourcing and engagement procedures are followed and enriched.
• Contribute to other EFE-Tunisie activities and projects as needed
