Title: Trainer on Communication and Leadership

Background on Project

“Women Ambassadors for Civic Engagement (WACE) » is a new project implemented by We Youth Organization with the support of the USAID funded TADAEEM Project. This project aims to increase women participation in local affairs in the municipalities of Gafsa, Kebeli, and Tozeur. Through the project, women from the targeted municipalities will be empowered to become ambassadors of civic engagement in their municipalities through a series of capacity building trainings to support them in advocating a better service delivery in their municipalities. The project aims also to support participants from the municipalities of Gafsa, Kebili and Tozeur to raise the awareness of women in their communities, to the importance of partaking in municipal affairs. They are expected to learn how to approach women from different backgrounds, have a spontaneous discussion to identify their needs and recommendations to be submitted later to the municipal council and inform them about key dates of upcoming municipal council’s meetings. During the capacity building program, participants will design two different awareness campaigns to be implemented in their respective municipalities.

Deliverables

The trainer will submit all training curricula and materials developed for the sessions by e-mail, two weeks prior to the first training session. The trainer will also submit a Training Completion Report, at most, one week after the training sessions is completed.

Training sessions will be held during the month of July in Sousse.

–                     5-6-7^th of July: Training for participants from the municipality of Kebeli.

–                     12-13-14^thof July: Training for participants from the municipality of Gafsa.

–                     19-20-21^stof July: Training for participants from the municipality of Tozeur.
