The ICRC Delegation in Libya – temporarily located in Tunis – seeks to fill the following position:

Water & Habitat Purchaser

The position is based in Tunis

Under Water & Habitat Category Buyer’s supervision, the Purchaser will contribute to the definition of needs, manage the tendering process of goods and services and ensure that purchasing is carried out in line with standard institutional policies and procedures.

MAIN TASKS:

·    Handles the procurement process from purchase requisitions till the payment of suppliers

·    Reviews specifications in coordination with Water and Habitat team

·    Implements ICRC purchase strategy for goods and services

·    Prepares and launches RFQ/RFT

·    Participates to the awarding process (prepares and checks Selection Tables)

·    Ensures that procedures and compliance requirements are duly fulfilled

·    Coordinates with all departments linked to the procurement of goods and services
