Presentation of KOICA:

The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) was established in 1991 by the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a government organization for Official Development Assistance (ODA) to improve the effectiveness of Republic of Korea’s grant assistance programs for developing countries by implementing government grant assistance and technical cooperation programs. Present in 47 countries, KOICA provides rich and authentic experiences of Korea’s economic development.

The areas of intervention of KOICA in Tunisia are:

  • Governance and Democracy
  • Environment, Climate change and Energy
  • Job creation (for youth and women)
  • Capacity building of public institutions
  • Volunteer Program

As part of the implementation of the Korean Volunteer Program, Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) recruits a Volunteer Program Assistant Manager.

General information about the position:

Description A volunteer program assistant manager
Workplace Tunis with business travel in the regions
Type of contract CDI containing a 06-month probation period from January 15, 2026 to July 14, 2026. Continuation of employment beyond the probationary period is contingent upon satisfactory performance during this period.
Salary or salary range TND 2,500.000 (gross salary)
Wrting test French writing test will be administered on 08 December 2025
Interview Those who pass the writing test will be given an interview opportunity
Preferred start date of the position   15 January, 2026

Your mission:

  • Support the implementation of the volunteer program, including quality control, negotiation with local partners, financial management, documentation, monitoring, etc.
  • Collect, record and archive key information on program activities
  • Review action plans, participate in communication with partners and take appropriate follow-up actions. Provide support in the processing of requests made by partners.
  • Prepare supporting materials, working papers and tables for briefings and review sessions. Participate in briefings and debriefings of volunteer program activities;
  • Support the installation of new volunteers in Tunisia (contact with host families – verification of security conditions, etc.)
  • Provide support to volunteers for administrative procedures (opening a bank account, residence permit forms, etc).
  • Support the communication and visibility activities of the volunteer program in Tunisia, including the preparation of communication materials and their dissemination on the various communication channels (website, social networks, etc.) 
  • Assist and monitor the logistics of all project activities (events, meetings, training, etc.)
  • Contribute to the preparation of program reports, activities and minutes of meetings. 
  • Availability for business travel.
  • Security and safety monitoring and reporting
  • Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by the direct supervisor (administrative work – logistical monitoring of vehicles under the volunteer program – …).
  • Prepare periodic progress reports on volunteer program activities, security reports, and any other form of reports requested by the direct supervisor.
  • Support the implementation of the activities of other KOICA-funded programs/projects in Tunisia (if deemed necessary).

Eligibility criteria:

  • University degree, preferably in the field of management sciences, communication, international relations or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 year of work experience in projects coordination position, preferably in an international or non-governmental organization
  • Knowledge of the regional development problems in Tunisia, and minimum knowledge of the socio-economic context of the country.
  • Languages : English and French are the working languages of KOICA. Fluency in English (written and oral) and French (written and oral) is required, knowledge of Korean is an advantage. Candidate’s language skills will be verified during the writing test and the job interview.
  • Good computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet
  • Excellent management, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as a part of a team and effectively manage multiple and varied tasks
  • Ability to identify priorities and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to work independently, proactively and cooperatively
  • Demonstrate integrity by modeling the values and ethical standards of KOICA.
