Major duties & responsibilities
The Training & Outreach Specialist reports to the Director of Middle East and North Africa Programs. Overall, the Training Specialist will:
- Contribute to USIP Academy Off-Campus Program (OCP) strategy development;
- Assess (market research) and recommend a list of OCP products relevant to the MENA region;
- Work closely with Academy Staff and Instructors to develop and execute the OCP courses’ catalogue and other products;
- Send out invitations for trainings/events and follows-up on attendance and registration;
- Coordinate logistics for training courses/events with the support of the Administrative team, including, but not limited to: travel, accommodations, translation, transportation;
- Prepare all materials, supplies, and ensure venue and equipment are prepared, in coordination with Academy Staff, Trainers, and Administrative team;
- Act as Point of Contact for Participants, Trainers, and Staff;
- Maintain database of participants;
- Maintain database of Trainers, Subject Matter Experts, and relevant Consultants;
- Manage budget and financial transactions for training courses;
- Collaborate with Staff and the Tunis-based Program Development Specialist to design a robust monitoring and evaluation mechanism for off-campus Academy training courses;
- Develop success stories and prepares photos for the Public Affairs & Communication team in Washington, DC;
- Document and share best practices for training courses in the Middle East and North Africa regions;
- Oversee USIP’s local and regional media- including social media- presence throughout the MENA region, for thematic and geographic programs;
- Coordinate and collaborate with USIP’s Public Affairs and Communications in HQ, as well as field staff, to streamline communication efforts in the field, and ensure consistent messaging;
- Support program-related blogs, essays, and reports;
- Perform other duties as needed.
Post Conditions :
- Working hours: Full time (40 hours/week)
