JOB BRIEF
The Project Assistant, Tunisia is responsible for providing administrative support in compliance with USIP policies and procedures to the Tunisia program. The scope of work includes logistical, administrative and financial tasks and some programmatic responsibility. This position is based in USIP’s MENA Regional Hub in Tunis, Tunisia and reports to the Tunisia Project Officer.
This is a Fixed-Time Term Personal Services Contractor position. Please note that this position is only open for Tunisian citizens.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support in managing and providing effective logistical and administrative support for the successful implementation of peacebuilding and dialogue projects in Tunisia. This includes, but is not limited to: contract submission, document preparation for payments, vendors contracts, project-related meetings and events coordination, preparation of event budgets as well as overall budget projections;
- Develop agendas and event logistical plans
- Provide translation and interpretation support as needed in English, Arabic, and French
- Prepare and disseminate timely programmatic and financial reports to the Tunisia Country Manager, the Tunisia Project Officer and to other entities as appropriate;
- Ensure that databases and documents are updated as necessary and in a timely manner to enhance the knowledge management of USIP’s programs;
- Make appointments, follow up with partners, attend meetings, and take notes as needed;
- Plan and support the travel of USIP staff and participants;
- Assists in preparation of annual and quarterly project workplans, and arranges relevant planning meetings within the office and with counterparts;
- Assist in monitoring progress against project output and provide feedback and action steps to the Tunisia Project Officer to achieve project objectives;
- Support in collecting and analyzing M&E data;
- Work closely with the regional and in-country administrative and logistical teams;
- Perform other duties as needed
