Reports to: Head of Programming
Supervisory Responsibilities: Project Officer.
Background/Job Summary:
The Project Manager (PM) position serves as the main contact person between the Head of Programming (HoP) and local and international partners/field officers. The PM will work as part of a project team led by the Head of Programs, will be responsible for the project management and maintaining relationships with the other program staff.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment:
He/she will be based in Tunis and he/she will have to travel to regions within Tunisia.

Job Responsibility:
- He/she will coordinate project planning management and monitoring in coordination with TAMSS project team;
- Manage the relevant project budget and provide monthly budget comparison report analysis on project expenditures throughout the project’s life;
- Contribute to project liquidation in coordination with finance department;
- Review and approve liquidation reports;
- Facilitate, organize and support project activities including research, capacity building, awareness raising, training and regular partner/project monitoring;
- Establish and maintain excellent collaborative working relationships with local partners, provide them technical assistance as needed and find solutions and methodologies to overcome the project’s challenges;
- Mediate as necessary among local actors during the project’s life;
- Report project’s concerns/questions/requests/challenges in a responsive and timely manner;
- Monitor activities, and financial expenses;
- Deliver Narrative and financial reports to the Head of Programs within deadlines;
- Coordinate with country-based staff on local-level activities in support of the project, including seminars, trainings and conferences;
- Advise management about issues affecting project implementation, or key local issues affecting future project developments;
- Participate in project design and proposal writing for new projects including budgeting
- Seek, establish and maintain external relationships that will be beneficial to the project;
- Work and Support other Project Managers and officers as needed;
- Directly supervise relevant Project Officers;
- Build the capacity of project officer to support and work with local partners;
- Work with project officer to develop performance objectives plans
- Collaborate with other division managers to ensure sound communication with partners and that project activities are implemented in all its cycles
- Participate in appropriate meetings with other implementing NGOs/ Government agencies and institutions;
- Maintain project documentation from the field and from local partners;
- Follow-up and strengthen the project Monitoring and Evaluation plan
- Take part in regular team, program and staff meetings;
- Actively participate in the design and implementation of TAMSS projects;
- Participate in information sharing and transferring skills and knowledge to other TAMSS staff.
