The Tunisian American Enterprise Fund is born from the American government initiative with the objective of contributing to enlarge employment economic possibilities in Tunisia, catalyzing the investments, promoting the private sector development and supporting inclusive economic growth. Currently focusing directly and in priority on the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as well as on the local financial institutions (investment funds, microfinance institutions…), TAEF capitalized at 60 million dollars at year end 2015 with the objective of reaching 100 million dollars by 2017, aims to reinforce their growth perspective and to contribute to inclusive social development factors: women, youth and regions in Tunisia.
We are actively recruiting an Investment Manager for the TAEF SMEs Investment Platform
The Investment Manager works closely with and reports directly to the Managing Director- SME Investment.
Responsibilities:
- Execute TAEF investment strategy.
- Prospect targeted TAEF potential entrepreneurs.
- Source Tunisian SMEs according to the targeted strategy.
- Perform financial and strategic industry analysis whenever required
- Develop and manage financial models to analyse investments and target performance.
- Assist targeted SMEs to elaborate and validate their business plan and growth development plan
- Prepare the required investment documents for the investment committee.
- Provide analytical support for debt and equity transactions.
- Execute the deals and procced to the legal and financial closing
- Set the 100 day plan post investment
- Set the SMEs portfolio periodical reports under his/her responsibility.
- Create quarterly and annual forecasts, monitor the investment portfolio and the target performance
- Assist SMEs development and growth with value adding contribution
- Perform regular visits and meeting with the investees
- Handle the TAEF monitoring and evaluation plan related to his/her portfolio
- Follow up of the SMEs collection and prepare their exit.
- And any other responsibilities in relation with sourcing, executing and exiting from investees
Compensation:
Compensation is competitive and is based upon experience.
Critères d'éligibilité
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an investment position/ corporate financial planning and/or analysis experience in a financial institution or in a multinational.
- Excel and Power Point advanced knowledge
- Bachelor Degree required; Preferably in Finance, Accounting and/or Business
- Knowledge of local SMEs environment
- Comfortable with various financial reporting systems to optimize business results.
- Bright and flexible, with excellent analytical, strategic, and implementation skills.
- Results-oriented, with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and expeditiously.
- Able to both take directions and show initiatives as appropriate.
- Proactive with a hands-on approach to problem solving.
- A strong individual as well as a team player, capable of building effective internal and external relationships through appealing personal skills
- Respect to quality in all regards.
- A good negotiation and communication skills with local entrepreneurs
- Fluency in English required. Arabic and French proficiency desired
- Strong modelling skills, coupled with an understanding of financial reporting systems, procedures and controls.
- A developed sense of team spirit
- Demonstrated ability to evolve as part of an entrepreneurial team and adapt to various business environments.
- Excellent in analytical skills, decision making and communication skills, verbal and written.
