Call for Training Agencies

Project Overview: 

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is funding the Ma3an project, a seven-year (September 2018 – August 2025) project that aims to increase Tunisian youth civic engagement and economic empowerment to advance progress towards sustainable, inclusive development in Tunisia. Ma3an is implemented by FHI 360, a non-profit human development organization dedicated to improving lives in lasting ways by advancing integrated, locally driven solutions.

Ma3an youth-led initiatives in Feriana (Kasserine): 

Ma3a project supporting the implementation of youth leaders’ initiatives in Feriana (Kasserine) to Equip a Multifunctional IT Club for Training and Digital Employment Feriana / Thelepet (Kasserine). Young people in Feriana and Thelepte are deprived of access to modern technology and useful software and platforms to get integrated with the digital economy and employment opportunities. After a round table organized with youth from Feriana and Thelepte, they expressed the need for a multipurpose club for training and digital employment in the cultural center of Thelepte where youth can develop their skills and knowledge about digital employment and to make it easier for students to do research for their end of study projects. 

The objective is to have effective tools facilitating economic empowerment, creating their own business, and would be an opportunity to discover new methods and modern digital information tools and online platforms and to provide a safe modern and digital space for youth in Thelepte and Feriana by equipping  a multipurpose club for training and digital employment and to develop youth skills by providing ToTs  in effective communication and job search techniques, in addition to entrepreneurship, digital employment skills, content creation, digital marketing and new software such as solid works software, PVsyst software, AutoCAD and Revit software, Microsoft office (word, excel, excel advanced, power point), Python, Canva, Cv.smash, etc.. Through this initiative, ToTs and information days about platforms, opportunities, e-learn, etc. will be provided to ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of the club.  

Required training agencies Service: 

The training agencies service will lead the development and facilitation of training in 

• Training 1: 2 days Training in Effective communication
• Training 2: 2 days Training in Job search techniques
• Training 3: 6 days Training in Digital employment skills
•      Training 4: 3 days Training in Entrepreneurship
• Training 5: 4 days Training in content creation
• Training 6: 2 days Training in Digital marketing
• Training 7: 7 days Training Web design and programming
• Training 8: 7 days Training in PVSYST Software
•      Training 9: 7 days Training in AutoCAD Software
• Training 10: 10 days Training in Coding and programming ( for apps and platforms development)
• Training 11: 6 days Training in E-commerce and Marketing Training ( including digital marketing)

The schedule of the trainings will be shared with the selected company. The tentative start date of the trainings is Monday July 20th, 2023.

Target Audience: 

200 youth, men, and women: High school students in Feriana and Thelepte, students specialized in media, students preparing their end of year projects and unemployed youth looking for a job. 

Expected Deliverables: 

• Develop a rigorous methodology on workshops themes/subthemes, content, format, and type of interaction with audience (Training Preferred to be delivered in Arabic or/and Tunisian dialect). 
• Lead the implementation and facilitation of the training sessions.      

Event Location: 

• Location: Cultural Center Thelepte – Feriana (Kasserine) 
• 1 room with at least capacity of 25 pax equipped with projector and a projection screen. 

  Payment Terms 

• FHI360 standard payment method is 30 days following the accepted service delivery and invoice reception.
• The service provider may issue an invoice following the finalization of each training he was selected for.

Financial offer : 

The Vendor may submit his price offer without VAT. FHI360 is exempted from VAT tax.

The price offer should be complete and include all expenses needed to ensure the service (such as Software , transportation, administration or other expenses)

– 3 Reference and demonstrated experience working facilitation experience with mixed audience

– Proposed working methodology: a separate document for each Training

Selection Criteria:

– Price 40%

– Technical Offer (CV, Proposed working methodology and reference) 30%

– Payment Terms 30%

* FHI360 can select one or several service providers to lead theses trainings.
