About the job

The Italian Council for Refugees (CIR) is presently looking for a national Finance Assistant for its office in Tunis. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in dealing with the key basic activities of the Finance Department such as preparation of daily payments and registration of expenditures in the accounting system.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role

• Ensure that all necessary supporting documents are collected before making any payment,
• Ensure that payments are made on a timely matter,
• Keep track of all the mission expenditures and record them in the accounting software,
• Be responsible for the management of the petty cash,
• Together with the Head of Department, perform cash counts on a weekly basis,
• Inform the Head of Department for the cash flows needs of the mission,
• Maintain all the files related to all expenses in the mission

Other

• Any other task to support the Administration Department.

Conditions – We offer

• Contract:   Fixed-term position
• Contract length:  6 months with possibility of renewal
