The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Libya Delegation temporarily relocated in Tunis, is recruiting a Cooperation officer – Bilingual Arabic/English

Main responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Cooperation coordinator/delegate, the Cooperation Officer is responsible of establishing / maintaining close relations with the Libyan Red Crescent Society (LRCS).

  • Act as Focal point and liaison with LRCS and the Movement Actors including Federation and LRCS and maintain regular contacts with the LRCS and exchange informations as required.
  • Contribute to planning, reporting and monitoring of cooperation action plans, according to the related project descriptions
  • Consolidate and compile reports, providing Cooperation team with relevant Informations required for the analysis of regular financial reports of the programs.
  • Participate in Cooperation meetings with the Movement partners under the supervision of the Cooperation Coordinator
  • Collaborate in training activities provided for the ICRC Staff and LRCS related to Capacity Building when needed
  • Ensure necessary follow-up on administrative and financial procedures
  • Perform appropriate translations and interpretations (Arabic/English), when relevant
  • Register and treat informations accurately and confidentially

Official working hours are Sundays to Thursdays 0800 -1700 (one-hour lunch break)

Starting date: ASAP.

Critères d'éligibilité

  • Professional diploma or university degree in an administrative, social, or public relations field
  • Two years' experience in a secretarial position ideally with a humanitarian background
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic. French will be an asset
  •  Computer literate: very good knowledge of Excel, Word, PPT (Microsoft office)
  • Team Player with proven collaborative skills
  • Proven organizational and analytical skills
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Interest for humanitarian activities (especially ICRC's)
