The ICRC Delegation in Libya – temporarily located in Tunis – seeks to fill the following position: Protection Data Manager
The position is based in Tunis
The Protection Data Manager works in support of the senior Protection Data Manager. The Data Team is responsible for providing contextualized technical advice and support in protection data management.
Main Tasks
- Carries out data processing; applies and updates data-entry procedures
- Supports the ICRC delegation in its day to day work by answering queries and monitoring the quality of its database
- Monitors the coherence and consistency of the management of protection data, ensuring it is done according to ICRC standards
- Provides regional and global statistics and analytical reports
- Advises and provides support on data processing, technical use of institutional software, office management, and training in data management

Official working hours are Sundays to Thursdays 0800 -1700 (one hour lunch break)

Critères d'éligibilité
- Possess a university degree in administration, Information Management, Social Sciences, Statistics, or a related field
- Have at least three years professional experience, including at least two years using, managing, analyzing computer data; and an understanding of relational database systems and data models
- Be fully conversant with and have a keen interest in working with MS Office Suite
- Have very strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize data, including data visualization
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills and proficiency in Arabic and English
- Possess an excellent capacity to work independently and to define priorities with minimal supervision
- Have team spirit and the capacity to integrate a multidisciplinary/multicultural approach
- Be strongly motivated by humanitarian work
- Be ready to travel within area of coverage, when needed
- Be knowledgeable on MS Dynamics, MS Report Builder and SQL
- Have data analytics experience using MS Visual Studio or MS SQL Server Reporting Services
- Have an understanding of geographic information systems and tools (QGIS or ArcGIS)
- Have the capacity for autonomous learning and a marked interest for new technologies
- Have good training skills
- Possess administrative and organizational skills and have a sense of responsibility and discretion
