Position title: Technical Intern

Location: Tunis, Tunisia

Background :

Belady – an island for humanity, is a human rights organization that advocates for civil and political rights and aims at promoting transparency and accountability and curbing violations. We operate from our three country-based offices including in Tunisia. 

Belady is currently looking for an exited Technical Intern who will be responsible of supporting research, MEL, and data processes department in Belady. 

Role and responsibilities:

The Technical Intern will support the research department in data entry, cleaning, verification, analysis, translation, and reporting. 

This will include but are not limited to:

– Support technical teams to electronically verify and enter data into Belady databases and softwares,

– Regularly perform data cleaning and enter missing data, where necessary,

– Support the Director to review data system for completeness and correctness against supporting documents uploaded by the Belady teams,

– Support the Director to perform data quality and integrity assessments in collaboration with Belady’s research integrity plan,

– Supporting the translation of technical documents as requested from French/Arabic to English or from English/French to Arabic, 

– Contribute to the preparation of progress reports for project management (i.e. quarterly and annual report and annual workplan) capturing qualitative and quantitative data,

– Perform other tasks as may be required by the Director.

Level of effort and period of performance:

This Short-term position is a full-time internship for about 3 months. An evaluation will be performed at the end of the internship to decide on possibility of recruitment. 

Location of the assignment:

The assignment will be in Tunis.

Supervision and reporting:

The Technical Intern will report to the Director but will directly coordinate and collaborate with other members of the team.
